About Elderberry

Elder (Sambucus nigra) has deep folk roots across Europe. Both flowers and berries are traditionally used; berries must be cooked before consuming.

Growing & Harvesting

Plant in moist, fertile soil in sun to part shade. Prune in late winter. Harvest ripe berry clusters and always cook before use.
